dV/dt - limiting reactors
Used at the output of frequency inverters, dV/dt-limiting reactors effectively protect downstream circuit from the steep voltage increases that are always caused by the PWM inverters such as those used in variable frequency motor drives.
The dV/dt-limiting reactors by MANGOLDT ensure more gentle (lower dV/dt) increases through the entire voltage range and thus effectively reduce capacitive discharge currents. This protects the output circuit conductor insulation from stress and damage – and ensures extended life for the connected motors. The limiting reactors can also help to reduce noise emissions of electrical motors and improve their thermal behaviour.
For use in the North-American area, the MANGOLDT dV/dt limiting chokes are also available as CUL Listed or cUR recognized products.
